Some medical conditions can arise during pregnancy for the first time, which can have implications on the pregnancy itself, future pregnancies and your health outside of pregnancy. If you have previously had a pregnancy affected by any of the conditions listed below, it is important that you discuss with your medical team prior to or early in pregnancy to discuss any steps that can be taken to prevent a recurrence.
In addition, after birth, a postnatal appointment with the medical team at the hospital where your pregnancy was booked or with your GP should be organised to ensure that the health condition you developed in pregnancy has resolved.
