Ms Katie Benyohai

Having trained at Barnet Hospital, Katie qualified as a registered midwife in 2014 and completed her preceptorship year at the Whittington Hospital in Archway. She gained extensive experience of working within all clinical midwifery settings, and as such competence in all clinical skills required to work autonomously as a confident midwife. Returning to the Royal Free Trust in 2015 has meant that she has worked across a number of North Central London’s busy maternity units, and with a diverse, multicultural population of service-users with complex social, cultural and health needs.

Katie has experience in a number of senior midwifery roles, firstly as a community team leader, prior to her role as Better Births Project Lead Midwife, before her current role as Maternal Medicine Specialist Midwife at the Royal Free Hospital. She has first-hand experience of service innovation and change management. Her passion is working within a multidisciplinary team to promote midwifery practice and advocating for service users so that they are active participants in their care.

Katie is an NMC Approved Mentor and a member of the RCM.
