Mr Adewale Adeyemo

Consultant Obstetrician and lead for maternal medicine

Mr. Adeyemo is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the North Middlesex Hospital NHS Trust. His extensive postgraduate medical training was undertaken in hospitals across Cambridge, North-East Thames, and Central London, providing him with a broad and in-depth foundation in obstetrics and gynaecology.

In his current role, Mr. Adeyemo is the Lead for Maternal Medicine and the Antenatal Clinic, demonstrating his commitment to advancing maternal and fetal health. He worked collaboratively with visiting obstetric physicians from University College London Hospitals to establish the obstetric medicine clinic as part of NCL Maternal Medicine Network. This clinic addresses complex obstetric cases, providing comprehensive care to pregnant women with underlying medical conditions.

Mr. Adeyemo runs the weekly endocrinology/diabetes antenatal clinics, ensuring that women with endocrine disorders receive specialized and continuous care throughout their pregnancies. Additionally, he oversees monthly cardiology and haematology clinics in conjunction with consultant specialists from these specialties.

Mr. Adeyemo has previously chaired the North Middlesex Hospital Trust Transfusion Committee, playing a role in overseeing and improving transfusion practices within the hospital. He has also served as an Obstetrics and gynaecology department Undergraduate Lead

Mr. Adeyemo is a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a member of the Maternal Obstetric Medicine Society and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has been a named author in several peer reviewed journals.
